A couple of days ago, Mia was in the TV room when she started screaming. Her mouth was bleeding and I thought she had another busted lip as she tends to get those regularly. After a few minutes, I realized that her front tooth was missing. I found the tooth on the carpet, called the dentist, then took her right in to the office. The dentist said he does not replace baby teeth out of fear of harming the adult permanent teeth. And the tooth beside was so loose, he thought it best to pull the second tooth as well. So for the next year or two, Mia will be missing her two front teeth.

Daniel and Mia are both Cubbies this year at AWANA. AWANA is the Wednesday night program at church. Daniel and Mia learn weekly Bible verses, have activities and games, and lots of friends, and have generally a great time. I teach in the 2 year old room, called Puggles. AWANA is a real highlight for our family.

I love this picture so much, that you will likely receive it as a Christmas card. We took it just a couple of weeks ago at the Minnesota Zoo. When we walked by the evergreen tree and beautiful flowers, I could not wait to get their picture among the beautiful scenery.

This is one confused boy! I'm not sure that Superman would be impressed!
Daniel is just a couple months away from being 5. It is hard to imagine that we will shortly have a 5 year old in our house. Daniel is very bright and is nearly reading. He loves school and is quick to catch concepts. He understands simple addition and is doing math worksheets like a pro! He loves science and is always asking me to read science stuff about robots even though what I read is well beyond his years.

My pretty princess is 3 1/2. She is tall for her age (wearing size 6/6X), so many think she is older than Daniel. She has suprised me how much she has learned during her preschool year at home. She recognizes all her numbers and letters and knows most of the sounds of the letters. She is working on tracing letters and numbers and can put together a few three letter words. Every week we work on math, phonics, writing, and science, and a Bible memory verse. She loves pink and purple and anything girl - especially girl friends!

Mia's never had a problem with heights.

Daniel playing on a web in the kids area. He has lately become much more interested in risk taking. Not long ago, he was the one afraid to ride a merry-go-round. Now he wants to climb higher, go faster, and push harder.

We had an "egg-celent" day at the zoo. Tee hee hee!

Most days the kids have to make their own beds. Daniel tends to just throw the sheets and blankets on top of the bunk bed and however they land is fine by him. Mia, however, is very meticulous, smoothing out the blankets and making sure everything is aligned just right. She even takes the time to tuck her babies in the bed too.
