Later that day, the kids and I went shopping. Because they were being so good, I bought then each a candy stick. Within 5 minutes, Daniel had flung his stick into Mia's piggy tail. It was entangled in every which direction and dangled from her hair. It took great effort to pull out hte stick and not pull out her hair.

We had to hunt for eggs this year inside. It is our first Easter in Wisconsin, and well, there is still snow on the ground. Although it has warmed slightly, the snow will not let up. Although the snow has started to melt and has melted even more the week following Easter, this year we spent our fun times of egg hunting indoors.

A perfect Easter picture.

Daniel got his first watch (almost) like Daddy's. We'd ask him what time it is, and he would look at the watch closely then reply with a shoulder shrug, "I don't know."

My two cuties lovin' on each other. They are not like this all the time, but I love it when they are and I catch it on camera.

This is why we had to have our egg hunt indoors. We had 6 inches of snow that weekend. I just did not feel like putting the kids in snow gear to hunt of eggs.

I just can't hardly believe my baby girl turned 2 on Feb. 23. The time has passed so fast. In this past year, she is learned to say so many new words, and run and play as fast as any preschooler. Her hair has grown some. She weighs 32 pounds and wears a size 3T in many of her clothes. I try really hard to enjoy her and Daniel every day. Everything is still new and exciting to them both. But I still can't help and daydream about the friendship that Mia and I will continue to develop. Until then, we just enjoy taking naps together, those quiet moments while sitting under the Christmas tree, the excitement of catching snow for the first time on your tongue, and licking the icing off the beater (OK, I still do that too!).

For the kids' birthdays, Shane and I decorate the night before so when we get up in the morning, the dining room is all ready with party hats, streamers, and balloons. Then we open presents before breakfast. We might as well get to have fun first thing in the morning while in our jammies!
